The most recent edition to the Aqualuma LED Lighting family is the new Aqualuma High Bay with Uplight.

It has been designed specifically for the big box retail environments where studies have shown a negative correlation between un-lit ceilings and shopper comfort, and therefore time spent in the store.

  • The Uplight merges seamlessly with all versions of our existing Aqualuma High Bay. It has an integrated design which retains all componentry internally, making the housing dust, corrosion and splash proof, which lowers maintenance and cleaning costs. The luminaire has instant on/off. It can be optioned with sensors to detect and respond to motion and daylight. Through programing, the luminaire will dim to a pre-set %, or off, then resume on renewed detection of movement or failing natural light. It creates strong visual presence with its balanced symmetry and robust styling. The Aqualuma High Bay with Uplight creates a more positive experience and extends the time a shopper will remain in the store.

  • The Aqualuma High Bay with Uplight has a wall plug efficacy (energy to visible light) of up to 144 lumens per watt, and a life expectancy well in excess of 100,000 hours. It provides up to 25,600 lumens down-lighting, and simultaneously 2,000 lumens up-lighting. Engineered with excellent internal heat sinking and external heat shedding allows best in class Lumileds Luxeon LEDs to be run at optimal levels whilst well below the manufacturer's maximum junction temperature recommendation, which extends the life expectancy of the LEDs. Aqualuma has brought together optimal materials and latest technology to produce a far superior light fixture.

  • The Aqualuma High Bay has been recognized by the DesignLights Consortium (DLC) as the highest efficacy High Bay worldwide over the past 3 years (2016 data recently lodged). The DLC is a US based non-profit dedicated to accelerating the widespread adoption of high-performing, energy efficient commercial lighting solutions. It compiles and publishes independent lighting reports which assist purchasers in gaining government rebates when purchasing energy efficient lighting. Since launching the commercial line in 2013, it is now sold in more than 15 countries, including Australia, NZ, USA, UK, Canada, France, Norway, Netherlands and Germany.

  • Over the past 18 months, Aqualuma has returned approximately 90% of its manufacturing to Australian shores, which has delivered in most cases lower piece price, higher quality, and most importantly secured far shorter lead times from order to delivery. The two external housings are made from high pressure die cast marine grade aluminium. Being incredibly robust and very resistant to corrosion, wear and tear, whilst also being easily recycled at end of life. These housings are further protected by chromate conversion and are finished in gloss powder coat, gaining a salt spray resistance (corrosion) rating of 240 hrs. All components are secured with stainless steel fixings coupled with anti-vibrational washers.

The Aqualuma High Bay with Uplight is compliant to all relevant international standards for Luminaires and LED lighting. The complete luminaire carries an Ingress Protection rating of IP64 (splash proof). The outer lens options have mechanical impact ratings. It has all the relevant EMC emission and immunity classifications, and is also compliant to the relevant Australian bodies including ERAC, ACMA and RCM.

These plug and play luminaires require little to no special or extra infrastructure investment, keeping the costs to both retrofits and new installations down. They are backed by Aqualuma's 7 year commercial warranty (no limitation on running hours accrued). They require little to no servicing and minimal maintenance (dusting). They provide exceptional savings in energy consumption, improved lighting for higher workplace efficiency, customer comfort and satisfaction. It provides an astute choice to customers where energy savings of up to 75% can be realized immediately when compared with metal halide high bays.
