Vitamix blades are precision laser-cut from hardened stainless steel & attached to the base with a double bearing assembly. Sharp blades become dull over time, so we've designed a blade that's so strong, it doesn't need to be sharp. Each prong has a precise surface area with a blunt edge and a specific angle, causing a simultaneous slicing & pulverising action in the blender. Every angle of the Vitamix container is designed to create a uniquely controlled vortex, systematically folding ingredients back to the blades for faster, smoother blends. The blades can blend soups and sauces for six minutes at a time—long enough for the blades' friction heat to bring them to serving temps right inside the container.

Vitamix uses a metal drive system to connect the container to the motor's base, allowing for better blends & a longer life span. Our motors are built to maintain even spin & cool temperature at high speeds, to consistently deliver the power you need, while the metal drive system offers full durability & won't wear like plastic. A key to ensuring long motor life is to prevent instances of overheating. In addition to the overload protection that's built into every blender, Vitamix engineers have been working for decades to perfect airflow circulation around the motor, channeling a controlled amount of air to the places that need it most. The removable Vitamix S30 blade base makes it safe and easy to clean. A magnetic interlock system ensures the container is securely in place before you can start the machine. The S30 comes with two uniquely shatter- resistant and 600mL to-go containers, a compact 1.2L BPA-free Vitamix container and tamper, all of which are BPA-free.
