The ink and wood artworks, coexist in the same space, represents two artistic conceptions, one of which indicates the dialogues between ink and walls, and the other displays the conversations between utensils and space integrated in the client’s life style.


  • CHALLENGE
  • SOLUTION

  • The designer applies the abstract image of “ink” to the rectangular main wall, on which the dry and realistic texture presents the long-standing dark ink. In the meantime, the large abstract ink painting has become the most imperative subject and intrinsic value for the client. The rest of the paintings, in the whole space, came from the client's spontaneous creativity.

  • The dark hand-scraped wood floor and dining table balance the overall rectangular space. The weathered white oak veneer, furnished on the walls along the corridor and in the bedroom, make this place for residents as if lingering in the forest.
