  • This clinic is an expansion to a secondary location. Our major challenge was in the design brief which asked us to move away from the typical idea of Healthcare Clinics and to de-medicalise the space. We were also given the opportunity to fully redesign the Clinic's brand identity, which meant that we had to consider many aspects in how to successfully establish the Clinic in a completely new industrial development in Melbourne's South East.

  • We tackled the challenge by ensuring that our Front of House space was designed as a grand statement. The design team achieved this by having an exposed ceiling along the facade of the building and creating a feature 'shopfront' through the use of feature wall paneling, led lighting, and the accent teal colour of our Client's branding. We introduced curves throughout the design to soften up the space and to add a sense of movement to bring the design to life. We also used warm timber finishes and greenery to brighten up the space, making it more inviting.

  • The project features the use of warm timber finishes, greenery, and high facade glazing for lots of natural lighting; bringing the outside in. This creates a calming and much more optimistic experience for those that visit and work in the space. Another main objective for this project was to challenge the design brief and shift away from the usual cold and sterile environment of a typical Healthcare Clinic, focusing more on the well-being of both patients and staff.

  • The space planning in this project played a key role in how we were able to successfully create a wow factor for the clinic. As the tenancy had amazing 3m high windows all along the facade, our team decided that the whole length of the facade should be zoned as the check in & waiting area. This allowed us to maximise natural light in the open area, while also creating an eye-catching and welcoming space. By exposing the ceiling, we were able to accentuate the height of the space, making it feel much more open and generous in size.
