  • The low to mid segment of the CNC industry rely on PC-based software to control CNC machines. This is mainly done to save software development costs as a PC provides pre-written software layers upon which other software can be easily made. The biggest challenge comes with hardware integration and drives, a PC-based CNC controller sounds cost-effective but is very unstable to do any type of serious manufacturing work. The design challenge was to make an embedded system that does not rely on the PC and still provides all the advanced machine controller features with a similar price point.

  • Our design approach was to design embedded hardware run by a single micro-controller to control all aspects of a machine, control LCD screen, touch, USB, Wifi etc. The hardware is then fully utilized with our custom software to allow for a simple, fast and stable system that can run machines 24x7.

  • As CNC machines are used to manufacture parts from tractor parts to custom wedding ring wooden boxes, we had a huge great response from all types of industries. MASSO is now being used in a small garage, workshops, automotive manufacturing, and machine builders are also offering machines with MASSO. With MASSO, clients have been able to set up small manufacturing businesses. MASSO is being used in over 60 countries.

  • Allow the user to control different types of CNC machines, automatic tool changers can be controlled directly by the controller. WiFi connectivity to monitor machines remotely and upload new gcode files for machining. The controllers are also upgradable on-site using a simple USB pen drive, this allows the user to load new features or to do software updates for bug fixes and improvements.
