  • How best to capture/commemorate/celebrate the remarkable growth of climate strike/action movement, and Greta. Following the Greta Thunberg-inspired global climate strikes, and her emotional speech at the United Nations Climate Action Summit (September 2019), Donald Trump attempts to mock the 16 year-old, describing her as a ‘very happy young girl looking forward to a bright and wonderful future’. Greta responds by quoting him in her Twitter bio.

  • A two-for-one double-take and bit of wordplay: from localised faction – to global action.

  • The poster is (by request) part of the #MateActNow 'digital protest'. It features (made the cut of 100) in the fundraising limited edition book. The poster also became 'the face' of the initiative for a Creative Review feature about #MateActNow.

  • It's a global message. While acknowledging a remarkable individual, it's a call-to-action that unites us all, to rally together for (arguably) the biggest issue of all.
