  • Little Birdie Books is an idea created by two passionate speech-language pathologists. Little Birdie Books arms parents with unique picture books (not available at major retailers), parent-friendly strategies and fun hands-on activities that will set your child up for success in literacy and in life. The books can be ordered online and are being delivered in a unique book box. The brief was to create a logo and brand identity that is fun, educational and appeals to both children and adults.

  • The logo is friendly and captures the heart of the brand essence ‘playful empowerment’. Playful empowerment is a little bird in flight. Her wings form the shape of a book while her beak holds the curly end of the word ‘little’. It indicates that the little bird is being fed (with knowledge) or that the bird is feeding her young ones, or that she is in the process of making a nest. It illustrates the imagination of “What comes next?”, just like storybooks do. The visual identity connects with the brand values: read, talk, inspire, play, learn, love.

  • The visual identity has had a significant positive impact on the business since its launch. Little Birdie Books gained more recognition, which resulted in an increased amount of loyal customers and sales. The extensive range of unique picture books that Little Birdie Books has to offer (not available at major retailers) comes with parent-friendly strategies and fun hands-on activities. It has helped many young children with their confidence, mental wellbeing, imagination, creativity skills, and overall success in literacy and in life.

  • The brand identity picked up a Silver and Gold Award at the Brisbane Advertising and Design Club in 2019.
