  • MORE
  • Develop a next-generation container that drives the shift toward refill practices to combat the escalating crisis of single-use packaging—130 million tonnes of waste annually, growing at 6% per year. For widespread adoption, the design must: - Support diverse viscous products like yoghurt, honey, ketchup, shower gels, glues, and paints. - Guarantee effortless use—easy to refill, compact, simple to clean, and intuitive for all users. - Be repairable, extending its lifespan. - Enable seamless integration with refill stations at retail locations or return-to-the-store programs, making refilling convenient for consumers. - Allow mass production at a reasonable cost, driving industry adoption and scalability.

  • Koor combines the functionality of a syringe and a bottle, offering a seamless refill and dispensing experience with a high product restitution rate. Its patented hinged handle folds onto the barrel, ensuring compactness without compromising usability. One of the most refined features is the self-closing cap, which underwent multiple design iterations and months of development to achieve effortless opening and secure closure—prioritizing accessibility for all users. This careful engineering prevents accidental spills, enhances portability, and makes everyday use intuitive. Additionally, Koor promotes repairability over disposal, allowing spare parts to be swapped within seconds, extending the product’s lifespan.

  • Environmental Impact: Koor eliminates single-use packaging waste with a refillable solution. A child consuming a yoghurt pouch daily could reduce 3.2 kg of non-recyclable plastic annually. Commercial Impact: Koor removes packaging costs in distribution, benefiting manufacturers. Families can save up to $470 per child per year by switching to refillable solutions. Societal Impact: Koor shifts consumer habits from disposal to reuse, encouraging sustainability. It also supports local producers through refill programs at local shops, enhancing our circularity rate.

  • The koor container is the key part of the refill solution. The refill stations are the other part. together koor offers a convenient way for users to refill their koors while reducing waste and supporting local producers: -Convenience: Users can bring their empty koors, the station will refill them. Koor refill stations will be strategically placed in supermarkets, schools, train stations, venues, and other high-traffic areas. -Packaging Elimination: By refilling directly from the station, Koor users avoid the need for primary and secondary packaging. This reduces plastic waste and promotes a circular economy. -Empowering Small Producers: Local producers of yoghurt, purees, soups, smoothies, and honey will be able to sell their products directly to consumers. No packaging factories are required, fostering a stronger connection between producers and buyers. -Cost Savings: Without packaging and distribution costs, food products become more affordable. Locally sourced ingredients further contribute to competitive pricing. The koor refill stations represent a win-win solution for consumers, producers, and the environment.
