  • JCDecaux requested a move towards a hybrid workstyle. A workplace strategy enabled a data-driven design to respond intuitively to employee needs in a dynamic and tech-enabled environment where business and life intersect. Designed to mirror the global brand values of JCDecaux, the space incorporates localised elements to create a sense of place for the team. Addressing both current and future requirements, innovative spatial optimisation enabled a significant reduction in floorplate whilst still providing a space to support the team in a flexible and dynamic that provides multi-functional adaptation to support a variety of activities to drive performance and creative ideation.

  • Workplace Strategy defined client goals and revealed a preference for an environment that supports collaboration and socialising. Analysis showed that occupancy was as low as 49% at peak time, and through floorplate optimisation, a 21% reduction in space and a 25% decrease in private offices was achieved. This created space to develop a series of versatile zones and work-settings to prioritise human-centricity and empowerment to enhance synergy and connection. Zones are delineated by considered materiality and colour palette and provide settings for energised and collaborative activities or focused or confidential tasks where visual and acoustic privacy is required.

  • At the heart of the workspace, operable walls open to combine the work-cafe and boardroom to accommodate the whole team, with a large digital screen for presentations and to showcase JCDecaux’s innovative product offering. An interconnecting staircase ties levels together, further fostering a positive culture built on collaboration in alignment with the client’s company values. Space versatility is the key to their move towards hybrid working. By redefining the work experience through a harmonious blend of innovation and functionality, the team are more engaged and productive to drive innovation and business success.
