IQU is an Australian consumer technology company focussed on everyday Australian’s needs for the latest quality technology devices. Established by ex-Bluechip Telco Executives who saw the opportunity to keep Australian communication industry profits on Aussie shores, IQU needed a world-class, sophisticated brand to sit at the table of global competitors.

  • IQU's Australian smartphone and technology consumer brand will operate across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands with global expansion in the future. The designs needed to genuinely capture the Australian product which offers the latest in smartphone technology, top-tier security, beautiful design and affordable pricing. The designs needed to tap consumers aspirational intentions while having capability to offer the latest tech and functionality savvy users expect. Security was paramount, and the design needed to be modern as well as affordable to compete with the buying power of IQU's global competitors.

  • The brand design needed to capture the hearts and minds of the target audiences; from tech-savvy teens, to young Corporates, to metro and regional Boomers. Taking their needs into account, the design needed to communicate best in tech, style and form, and affordable value. Communicating 100 per cent security in a reassuring way, the brand design then set about sharing the bold, positive disruption IQU brings to the Australian Telco industry. To bring this to life, a signature font was developed to capture the unique consumer offering of IQU's brand and products.

  • The experienced Telco executives wanted the design to reflect the positive disruption IQU provides allows its consumers to take part in - subscribing to a bold, new, state-of-the-art Telco player who keeps their money where they spend it. The custom font was developed to deliver the IQU brand's values: aspirational, latest tech, Australian owned, top security, affordable and modern design.
