Grey House

The challenge was to create a home for escapism of the rush of everyday life and its distractions. It needed to be a place of calm and serenity, similar to a gallery, and needed a strength in its execution. A boldness and sharpness, without being clinic. A place of sculpture and purity, without compromising the practicality of a family home. Alignment, concealment, strength, minimalism and softness were all key requirements.

The Grey House responds to the challenge of creating a sanctuary of purity and calm amidst everyday chaos. Designed with a consistent colour palette and devoid of unnecessary ornamentation, it emphasizes concealed storage and aligned elements to foster tranquillity. This home, reminiscent of a gallery, balances aesthetic simplicity with practicality, offering a distraction-free space to slow down and relax. Balanced with the monochromatic palette and sharpness in design, each room features a unique garden view, fostering a connection with nature ands its layers of texture and colour to create a living artwork that evolves throughout the year.

The home challenges design trends by blending minimalist aesthetics with a singular colour palette to create a place of refinement and calm.
