We manufacture home compostable cling wrap for home and industrial use at our solar powered factory on the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria. The majority of what goes into making Great Wrap is made from food waste.

  • 150 000 tonnes of cling wrap goes into Australian landfills each year. Everything that sits on a shelf today has once been shipped on a pallet wrap in petroleum based plastic. If food waste were a country it would be the third largest emitter of greenhouse gases in the world after the US and china.

  • We take food waste and ferment it down into our feedstocks to make for our cling wrap and pallet wrap. It is home compostable currently and we are working with Monash to create a marine biodegradable solution by the end of this year. We have focused on localizing manufacturing for a product that is typically imported and our factory runs on renewables.

  • We have commercialized a solution to the plastic problem that allows homes and businesses to function as they do currently. It is price competitive with conventional plastics so there will no longer be any excuse to use it. By the end of 2023 we aim to be producing 1m tonnes of marine biodegradable and compostable biopolymers. We are also creating inclusive and diverse local jobs.
