Our challenge was to design a compact, easy-to-install dog car seat that looks great in modern vehicles while meeting high safety standards. We also needed to account for the needs of various dog breeds and sizes, plus user-friendliness for busy pet owners. Balancing form, function, comfort, and safety—while ensuring the seat fit universally in most car models—was key to the design brief and a challenge we were determined to meet.

Our solution was to develop a lightweight, elevated dog car seat that secures directly to the car seat and seatbelt system, with an internal safety tether to keep dogs safe. We designed it with soft padding and reinforced walls for comfort and protection, and added durable, washable covers to manage mess. Prototypes were tested with dog owners and refined for ease of use, aesthetics, and car compatibility. A key breakthrough was achieving a foldable, flat-pack design for easy storage. From sketches to final product, the process focused on integrating thoughtful design details that improve travel experiences for dogs and owners.
