Dishpod was conceived to address the significant environmental impact of traditional dishwashing products, which rely on harmful chemicals and single-use plastic packaging. Modern liquid dish soaps contain pollutants like phosphates, surfactants, and chlorine, which can cause ecological damage, including algae blooms and waterway contamination. The challenge was twofold: to develop a high-performing, plant-based detergent bar with water-safe ingredients, and to create a durable, user-friendly holder to contain the detergent while reducing plastic waste. In response, Dishpod was designed as a sustainable, refillable solution that eliminates plastic packaging and harmful chemicals from the dishwashing process.

The Dishpod system combines a water-safe, plant-based detergent bar with a reusable pod, offering an eco-friendly dishwashing solution. Made from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic, the pod is designed for indefinite use with replaceable refill bars. A unique clip-in lid reduces splashing while promoting even water exposure, extending the bar's lifespan. Elevated within the pod, the detergent bar stays dry and secure between uses. The ergonomic, minimalist design fits comfortably in the hand and seamlessly into any kitchen. A drip tray collects runoff, allowing it to be reused, further reducing waste and enhancing the product’s sustainability.
