Vuly Max 2.1 Swingset with Cubby

The project addressed the challenge of creating a durable, flexible swing set system that adapts to changing family needs while withstanding harsh outdoor conditions. Traditional swing sets often lack longevity, customisation, and structural robustness. The brief required a modular solution that supports multiple configurations and accessories without compromising safety, stability, or ease of assembly. Key constraints included maintaining cost efficiency, ensuring high load capacity for multi-user play, and delivering long-term corrosion resistance in Australian environments. The design needed to balance strength, versatility, and user-friendly installation within a cohesive system.

Max 2.1 was developed through an iterative design process focused on delivering a modular, high-strength swing system. Early concepts established a flexible multi-bay architecture, allowing users to customise accessories configurations.Prototyping identified challenges in maintaining rigidity across variable layouts, leading to reinforced steel framing and optimised joint design. A key milestone was integrating interchangeable accessories and the cubby into a unified structural system without compromising safety or load capacity. Manufacturing and assembly constraints drove a simplified, modular construction approach. The final solution delivers a scalable, durable system that balances strength, flexibility, and ease of installation for long-term family use.

The Max 2.1 delivers strong commercial, environmental, and societal impact through its modular, long-life design.
