  • Fifty years after Helen von Boch designed four table settings nested together in the shape of an orb-and, fittingly, named her avant-garde creation 'the Globe'-Villeroy & Boch reintroduced and reinvented its dining concept in a contemporary design. An element of Villeroy & Boch's DNA and a milestone in design history, the original became an instant icon. The new concept should be is a modern interpretation that suits small space living and meets the growing demand for quality minimalist design, in a choice of finishes to match different interiors.

  • Four new modern designs have revived the revolutionary concept of stackable crockery: La Boule black, La Boule white, La Boule black & white and La Boule memphis. Each one portrays the iconic design piece in its own special way. La Boule is an aspirational product in interior design and an eye-catcher on the table. A design object and elegant table setting, La Boule impresses with a perfect synergy of functionality and aesthetics. This porcelain sphere consists of a compact table setting for two, including Premium Porcelain bowls, flat bowls, universal plates and a serving platter.

  • Space is becoming increasingly scarce. La Boule is a stackable set that utilises minimal storage space. Objects with a sculptural character are becoming increasingly important in interior design. As we spend more time at home, a new awareness of our own four walls has arisen and people are also more consciously furnishing their homes with things that make life more beautiful. Due to its iconic character, La Boule is not just a short-term trend. The reinterpretation of the original successful The Globe, designed by Helen von Boch in 1972, is a durable design that will have long-lasting influence on society.

  • Each of the four looks has its own individual charm. La Boule black and La Boule white impress with their understated, elegant design with glossy white and matte dark textures. La Boule black & white captures the eye with timeless contrasting colours, which come together in both shiny and matte textures for visual and tactile appeal. La Boule memphis makes a bold statement, inspired by the style of the Milan-based "Memphis" design group who caused a sensation with their work in the 1980s, featuring contrasting colours, unusual shape combinations, and playful patterns. A fifth design, La Boule pure beige will be added for 2021. The ball design of La Boule creates an interior highlight and ensures that the dining service for two finds room in even the smallest, compact homes.
