The brief for this outdoor collection requested furniture that could support different modes of relaxing around a pool, specifically addressing dining and relaxed sitting. The chair and lounger have been ergonomically designed for comfort, mode of use and have the ability to stack, with custom designed removable cushions for added comfort. Designed for hot and dry conditions, as well as humidity and salt exposure, the choice of seat pad materials and 12mm stainless steel rod are suitable to come in contact with various climatic conditions including harsh UV light as well as chlorine.

The Tidal Collection is designed and manufactured using high quality materials and craftsmanship. Designed to meet relevant Australian standards for chairs and tables addressing correct material use for exterior applications and any possible design safety issues ie gaps where fingers could get caught. Stability of chair and table frame designs has been repeatedly checked throughout the prototyping stage.

When choosing materials for the Tidal Collection, our intention was to design furniture that will be passed down the generations using materials and craftsmanship that provide longevity rather than end up in a kerbside collection after a few summers. The choice of hard wearing stainless steel rod ensures the end user many seasons of use. However, this thoughtful design can also be easily dissembled for refurbishment or fully recycled.

Every detail of the Tidal Collection has been carefully considered for a life outside. Constructed from high quality stainless steel suitable for long term exterior applications and beautiful crafted to ensure strength and seamless finish. The design ensures excellent performance under duress of harsh climatic conditions and high use commercial settings with a mid range price point. The seat pads are made from high grade outdoor fabric and foam, with hidden straps to hold in position or remove for washing. The 'socks' are available in five colours which can be matched to powder coat colours or used as a contrast detail, a clever visual design feature, providing protection to ground surfaces and leg bases.
