”The Derek” Alloy Camp Table

Camping tables, like many camping products, have not seen a leap of innovation since we were camping as children. The market is saturated with either heavy virgin plastic blow mould tables or lightweight easily breakable tables that frequent landfill more than camp trips. Our mission was to create a table that provides utilitarian solution in an outdoor setting, constructed for strength and durability, made with materials that will stand the test of time, easily repairable and able to be recycled at end of life. Stowed size and weight were also important considerations within the camping & caravanning market.

Stratus Outdoors addressed the problem through: - Using 3mm Aluminium as the construction material for durability and lightweight + stainless steel fixings to prevent rust - Designed to load bear up to 150kg distributed - Alloy top can take hot pans from the fire with no issues - A bead blasted treatment to the alloy means the table doesn’t heat up in the sun - Improve ease of use through simple flat fold leg design, and cut in features including towel rails and bottle openers - Storage bag made of heavy duty waxed rPET canvas, removing 55 post consumer plastic bottles from landfill/oceans and improving longevity.

With a proven product innovation in The Derek we then set to work on our impact. - Our brand USP’s centre on innovation, durability, environmental impact and style. - We use Aluminium as it’s easily recycled at end of life + stainless steel fixings for longevity outdoors - We custom designed our entire shipping process to be 100% plastic free. Since our launch in November 2022, we have kept over 1 million plastic bottles out of oceans and landfill by using certified rPET fabrics. We are promoting a community of product owners over product consumers. Our mission is to Protect the Adventure.
