  • BMW Neue Klasse reimagines BMW for the electric age, combining iconic brand cues with a reduced design language while integrating digital interaction, sustainability and circularity throughout the vehicle. Every Neue Klasse model is built around four pillars: electric, digital, circular and distinctly BMW.Each new model is developed through years of collaboration between design and engineering teams, balancing creative vision with technical, customer and production needs. Throughout the process, teams navigate challenges and make decisions shaped by innovation, sustainability, feasibility and final board approval to deliver the best possible vehicle to market

  • Unable to provide all these details, as developing a new model involves multiple departments working independently across their area of expertise, as well as the extensive collaboration to bring this vehicle to market.

  • BMW iX3 Neue Klasse is more than a new model — it signals BMW’s future direction. It introduces a new design language, advanced digital user experience and breakthrough technologies expected to influence the wider automotive industry, particularly in electrification, software and energy efficiency. It also advances battery and charging systems, circular design and more sustainable production powered by renewable energy. Importantly, it reflects BMW’s broader approach to electrification, considering the full lifecycle from material sourcing to reuse and end-of-life impact. This strengthens BMW’s competitiveness in the premium EV segment and establishes a strong foundation for future models.

  • Key exterior design features:Reinterpreted BMW face: The traditional kidney grille is reduced and simplified into a modern, digital light signature rather than a dominant physical element.Clean, monolithic surfacing: Fewer lines and sharper detailing create a more sculpted, aerodynamic body.Aerodynamic optimisation: Flush surfaces, integrated door handles, and streamlined proportions improve efficiency.“Shark nose” evolution: A forward-leaning stance that references BMW heritage but in a more modern, electric-focused form.Light signature design: Slim LED elements front and rear emphasise width and digital identity.Interior and digital experience:Panoramic vision display: Information projected across the windscreen in a wide, driver-focused format.Minimalist cabin architecture: Reduced physical buttons, with functions integrated into digital interfaces.Next-generation operating system: A software-led cockpit designed around personalisation and intuitive control.Underlying innovation:Built on BMW’s next-generation EV architecture with major advances in efficiency, battery technology, and circular material use, supporting a more sustainable product lifecycle.
