The Tate Collection is a high end, minimalist range of conventional and digital mixers. With a selection of finishes to match specific interior settings and colour schemes, the New Zealand designed modular collection comes with interchangeable components for a variety of purposes.

  • The housing landscape of New Zealand has seen an increasing demand for architecturally designed homes where new builds are more compact and versatile with efficient living spaces. There was a gap in the market for a high end, mains pressure range of tapware and shower mixers in a range of finishes at an affordable price point that would suit the needs of architects/specifiers for new builds, villas, upmarket multi-dwelling developments and commercial bathrooms in hotels and restaurants. The brief recognised the need for an aesthetically pleasing design that could be offered in a range of finishes in addition to chrome.

  • Three components make up the design of the handle: the pin lever, sleeve cover and core. Most of which is shared throughout the range. The modularity of the handle means the range is commercially affordable by offering a variety of six solid PVD finishes and six mixed PVD finishes. The unique design allows for different combinations of finishes with striking results, setting the range apart from the rest of the minimalist tapware market.

  • Materials and components were selected carefully for not only their aesthetic appeal but with longevity in mind - machined DR brass was chosen for its quality, and a 25mm brass bodied cartridge for its reliable German engineering which reduces the need for replacement parts in the future. The minimalist design aesthetic of the range ensures that the pieces will stand the test of time and have long-lasting impact.

  • The design of the range features indentation on the handle which allows the two finishes to be mixed together. The unique design allows for different combinations of finishes with striking results, ensuring the products become a statement in the bathroom or kitchen for many years. An innovative approach to mixing and matching different colour finishes gives the audience a wide range of colour options to suit any environment, interior or personal preferences. The colour palette gives the opportunity for personal expression shown off in minimalist form.
