Strucket Mini

Based on customer demand from our original product Strucket, Strainer meet Bucket, (strainer + bucket + interlocking connection + plug); the design brief and challenge involved taking the original design elements and replicating them to a 5 litre version which offered the user a unique kitchen/food preparation/food storage device, with the addition of a lid. These same design elements needed to be able to be transitioned to the laundry and household cleaning space by making slight changes to the materials used. The Strucket Mini needed to compliment and add value to the Strucket brand.

To design a strainer vessel, with an interlocking mechanism to allow the strainer to sit in an elevated position above the base vessel, combining an external drainage point. To allow the user to soak, agitate, separate and drain but also to assist in refrigeration storage by the addition of a lid. The external plug assists with draining the contents of the container and the option of liquid conservation and recycling. The "kitchen" Version being made out of TRITAN, glass like materials to allow the user to view the contents. The "household" Version a dense white Polypropylene to hide the contents.

Strucket Mini "kitchen" offers a safer user experience when using hot kitchen liquids; eliminating the need to take hot liquids from the stove to the sink. Manual, tedious kitchen tasks are improved with it's simply but clever strainer + vessel connection design. Strucket Mini "household" positive impact on the environment goes from birth to beyond; supporting the cleanup of reusable wipes, reusable menstrual pads & underwear and aiding the elderly and disabled by having a positive and supportive stance on incontinence issues. Strucket Mini is 100% recyclable, achieving the desired function with minimal parts through good design practices. Manufactured in Australia.

Strucket Mini's clever but simple strainer + vessel + connection + external plug offers ease of use for the following kitchen tasks: Draining Pasta or cooked vegetables Marinating, cold storing and draining meat Soaking, draining Udon Noodles Soaking, agitating, cold storing and draining activated nuts/beans Cleansing, agitating, draining and cold storing berries, fruit and vegetables Cleansing, sterilising, agitating, draining and storing Baby bottles, dummies, teethers etc. Stacking connection - the lid design connects with the base of a second Strucket Mini. This connections allow multiple Strucket Mini's to be stacked. Housing connection - It was extremely important that Strucket Mini was able to connect with the original Strucket.
