Springfree Large Oval Trampoline

The inception of Springfree was the desire to radically redesign a trampoline, eliminating all major risk hazards identified in ever increasing injury statistics: hard frames, metal springs, poor quality or no padding, disintegrating nets and cheap materials were all critical issues to address. The design could not compromise on bounce quality, and any safety features would have to last the life of the trampoline. The design would also have to meet or exceed any requirements of the safety standards. Finally, with academic assistance, research would be done to validate any claims to the safety and effectiveness of the new design.

Instead of metal springs, the final design employs innovative cantilevered, flexible rods that raise the mat above and away from the steel frame. This forms a soft edge around the mat, preventing the user encountering any hard impact points and eliminating any requirement for padding. The net, an integral part, must be included during installation and doubles as a play surface and safety element. It also employs long flexible rods to tension and flex with the user. All components were tested to last 10 years and, most importantly, research published in peer reviewed journals found significant reduction in injury risk.

Springfree (under the goba Sports Group) is now a world-wide company with hundreds of employees. Our design and manufacturing are fully in-house, ensuring the highest level of quality control and continuous product improvement. With well over half a million units sold in 15 countries (and counting), we protect the Springfree design with over 14 patents globally. Company representatives also contribute to international standards committees on trampoline and playground safety, both in the US (ASTM) and Australia. Based on US NEISS data, Springfree has reduced product-related injuries by 90%. We believe this is our most impactful legacy, protecting what matters most!
