The brief was to create a cohesive Siemens cooking family—ovens, induction cooktops and rangehoods—for homes where kitchens flow into living spaces. In these environments, appliances are always visible, yet traditional glossy finishes highlight fingerprints, reflections and everyday wear. Induction cooktops, in particular, show fine scratches from grit under cookware and streaks after cleaning, quickly disrupting a premium look. The challenge was to design a unified matte aesthetic that feels calm and furniture-like, while addressing the different functional demands of each category—ensuring every appliance maintains its appearance through daily use without compromising performance or durability.

The Siemens Matte Edition introduces a calm, unified design language built around matte glass, carefully adapted for each appliance. Induction cooktops feature a micro-textured ceramic glass that reduces the visibility of everyday scratches and leaves fewer marks after cleaning. Ovens and rangehoods use a refined matte glass finish that softens reflections and minimises fingerprints, maintaining a consistent look across the kitchen.
