  • As smartphones have increased in power and functionality, they have become capable of handling many of the tasks we traditionally use computers for. This has resulted in a reduced need for mobile professionals to carry laptops around, although leaving the laptop behind means sacrificing the comfort of a large screen. What if there was a way to combine the convenience of a smartphone with the comfort of a large screen?

  • Samsung DeX® is a portable device that enables Australians to connect their compatible smartphone to a monitor, keyboard and mouse in order to use it like a desktop computer. Offering a completely redesigned Android UI that has been optimised for use with a keyboard and mouse, DeX offers multiple resizable windows, contextual menus and a desktop version Web browser. Users can seamlessly access apps, edit documents, browse the web, watch videos, reply to messages and more, directly from their smartphone using a larger display, keyboard and mouse.

  • Samsung DeX® has given Australians more flexibility in the way they work. Reducing the need to carry heavy laptops around and harnessing the power of Samsung’s Galaxy S8, S8+ and Note8 smartphones to enhance productivity, DeX combines the convenience of a smartphone with the comfort of a larger screen.

  • - Broad connectivity – connect to any Bluetooth-enabled, USB or RF-type keyboard and mouse. - Key collaborations – collaborations with Microsoft and Adobe enable Samsung DeX compatibility with Microsoft Office and Adobe mobile apps, including Adobe Acrobat Reader mobile and Lightroom Mobile, allowing desktop-like functionality and a user interface previously unavailable from a smartphone.
