Poor sleep is widespread, yet many consumers seeking better rest do not need, want or qualify for medical therapy. The brief was to extend Resmed’s sleep-health capability beyond CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure) by creating a credible, non-medical wellness product that helps people wind down and wake well. The challenge was to integrate sensing, light-based intervention and a companion app into a familiar eye-mask form without compromising the essentials: complete darkness, all-night comfort, no eye or lash pressure, simple controls, easy cleaning and a fit suitable for diverse face shapes and sleeping positions.

myNight Smart Mask is designed with a focus on comfort and simplicity. It is a soft, 3D contoured eye mask paired with a removable smart module and companion app. Developed for the Chinese population, it draws on Resmed’s extensive database of 3D head scans representing diverse facial features. Its foam geometry, air cushion, adjustable headband and deep eye pocket deliver complete blackout without pressure on eyelids or lashes. Integrated LEDs guide paced breathing and simulate sunrise, while EEG, pulse and motion sensors provide sleep insights. Auto-start breathing, tap-control, configurable alarms and USB-C charging keep the experience simple, hands-free and sleep-friendly.
