  • In a world increasingly dependent on technology amid the throes of a climate crisis, high voltage transmission lines face heightened vulnerability to intensified bushfires. Majority of this critical infrastructure remains unmonitored, relying on reactive satellite detection of potential threats, which has often been too late to prevent disasters. Delays caused by meticulous risk assessment and endless need for approvals often hinder swift and effective action. Urgent intervention is essential to develop proactive monitoring solutions, bridging the gap between our tech-driven present and the escalating threats of climate change, safeguarding communities and critical infrastructure in the face of growing environmental challenges.

  • Phoenix is the ultimate solution for real-world challenges. It’s portability ensures immediate deployment from its charger. Drones attach it to ground wires, eliminating risk to humans. With sturdy clamps and weight distribution, Phoenix remains stable in adverse conditions, aided by its rounded, weather-resistant shell. Integrated satellite and cellular connections relay real-time environmental data to power companies and stakeholders. Camera control enables zoom and thermal imaging for threat detection. Vital for fire prevention, Phoenix monitors wind speed and direction, accessible to all, ensuring safety without specific training. Solar-powered, its batteries last up to two weeks, providing critical observation capabilities.

  • Phoenix is a pioneering solution set to revolutionize transmission line safety, catering to diverse stakeholders. Firefighters stand to gain heightened safety during operations near high voltage lines. Power companies benefit from its real-time monitoring capabilities, facilitating swift risk assessment and informed decision-making, thereby reducing operational disruptions and infrastructure damage. Moreover, communities reap the rewards of increased reliability and access to power, as Phoenix aids in early detection and prevention of transmission line-related incidents. By addressing the needs of multiple stakeholders, Phoenix emerges as a transformative force, promising tangible advantages across the board.

  • Phoenix integrates a few interesting features that aid it in accomplishing the task. Firstly, the built in satellite and cellular connections mean that this device is ready to go anywhere. It transmits information real-time to Energy transmission companies, which they can access via their computer, tablet or smartphone. Critical real-time information can also be accessed by firefighters who might be attending to a situation close by. Phoenix is also equipped with a bright LED ring on the bottom of the device that is visible when walking near it, even in daylight. This ring will provide status updates on connection, danger of high winds as well as the detection of smoke or fire nearby.
