  • MORE
  • TUFF+ Panel PC set out to solve the modern market’s desire for more power and functionality out of their rugged hardware to support their electrification, safety, autonomy, and sustainability goals. Operating in industries challenged by overcomplicated and unreliable multi-part solutions, customers had higher demands for a fully integrated platform that provided more: computing power, screen real estate and resolution, intuitive interaction, refined style, value, connectivity, and AI processing with reduced implementational friction. TUFF+ Panel PC needed to be flexible for each unique customer’s ideal solution whilst ensuring the durability to withstand the different tough industries and harsh environments.

  • Using the award-winning design of the previous generation as a foundation, TUFF+ Panel PC was created as a powerful, feature-focused solution in response to increased market demands. Rather than having designed the boundaries of the platform, TUFF+ Panel PC is a platform designed for the unknown. With ‘customisation as standard’ as a guiding principle, the platform has unending possibilities for product diversification. It includes numerous internal and external high-speed interfaces, thermal and power management, new processes for improving efficiency and speed, fanless cooling fins, wider operating temperature ranges, an IP67 rating, and incorporates emerging technological concepts like AI and V2X.

  • TUFF+ Panel PC’s impact sits at the intersection of technological improvements, customisation, and long-life philosophy. With a thoughtful approach to rugged, by combining quality and longevity, TUFF+ Panel PC improves the safety and efficiency of customers’ operations by giving them the upgraded, flexible features they need. Designed and manufactured in Australia, Motium’s TUFF+ Panel PC presents a reliable solution that offers sustainability through low total cost of ownership over the platform’s lifetime. Constructed to be recyclable, from internal components through to the aluminium enclosure, TUFF+ Panel PC is shipped globally in environmentally friendly, plastic-free packaging.

  • Key markets for TUFF+ Panel PC include Mining, Waste Management, Emergency Services, Transportation, Industrial, Automation, Defence, Marine and Construction. TUFF+ Panel PC’s rugged features include a 12.8-inch, sunlight readable, full high-definition display, 10-point multi-touch PCAP touch panel, operating temperatures of -40oC to +75oC, an IP67 rating, transient protection, and is vibration and shock proof. Other features include: – Unlimited Configurations: Along with standard card form factors, the product offers proprietary expansion board options for unlimited future-proof upgradability. – Fully Customisable Connectors: Customers can choose from standard QuickConnect Interface connectors, customise pin-out to consolidate wired interfaces, or change the interface connectors to their current ones, allowing re-use of existing cables saving time and cost. – Quad-Core Processing Power: Supporting the latest Intel Elkhart Lake processors, with up to 16GB RAM and an added AI processor. – Multiple Wireless Options: Including 5G Cellular, WiFi 6, Bluetooth, GNSS/GPS, UHF. Custom wireless modules are also an option. – Multiple Operating Systems: Support for Windows 11 and 10, Linux, and Android. – Improved Safety with UPS: Providing instantaneous protection for power interruptions. This enhances safety by allowing for the transmission of a location and facilitating a safe shut down for the operating system and application.
