  • MORE
  • - Change the existing development controls to support the client’s vision and deliver a more sustainable urban outcome. - Design transformative infrastructure including two towers in a significant historical and financial precinct. - Revitalise the historic financial heart of Martin Place at the interface of 50 Martin Place, a heritage-listed building. - Deliver a successful integrated over-station development with two connecting towers, and an underground through-site link located under 50 Martin Place. - Optimise public benefits in the context of commercial development. - Establish a new high-density precinct that achieves enduring urban design beauty, high-quality built outcomes and environmental amenity. - Create best practice over station development.

  • - Drive new development controls based on place specific characteristics. - Create built form improving solar, sky view and wind impact, in alignment with more sustainable development principles. - Apply scientific analysis to demonstrate urban betterment now commonly used in government led design reviews in Sydney. - Align above and below ground circulation to optimise navigation. - Deliver enduring, place specific architecture. - Ensure a diverse design team works collaboratively and effectively to a shared objective. - Engage First Nations artists to reinforce wayfinding and add an interpretative cultural dimension to public space. - Establish an exemplar of integrated development for transport and commercial uses for future projects.

  • MPMP has transformed the above and below ground experience between Martin Place and Hunter Street creating a new destination in Sydney designed to support Sydney’s commercial growth and competitive edge from national and global perspectives. The commercial heart of Martin Place has been revitalised. At Hunter Street the new tower opposite Chifley Square adds to the adjacent distinctive towers that mark the northern threshold of post-colonial urban development. Quality customer experience ensures the popularity of public transport into the future. The project is an exemplar of how the redevelopment of precincts within cities can contribute to a lower carbon future.

  • Station - Easy navigation, efficient interconnected network, spectacular spatial experience, materials and art reflecting the area’s rich First Nations history and connection to Country. - Unique dual vertical transportation for station at north and south ends. - Below ground metro pay walls - Below ground programmable public N-S through-site link. - Integrated retail and station egress above and below ground. - Key infrastructure to support more sustainable urban density contributing to a lower carbon future. 1 Elizabeth Street - 1 Elizabeth Street integrates metro station, civic plaza, and global HQ into a high-density precinct. - The tower, lifted 15m, enhances light and openness. Public realm features First Nations art, public venues, and heritage works. - Sensitive to heritage context - Offers diverse, connected workplaces. - A 6 Star Green Star, all-electric design, was delivered through collaboration across architecture, engineering, culture, and public infrastructure. 39 Martin Place - Creates a special destination revitalising the precinct’s commercial heart. - Maintains the distinctive monumental character of Martin Place. - Dematerialises the tower over the podium at Martin Place. - Creates a naturally lit station entry with a two and three level void. - Complements the setting of the MLC. - Connects the MLC Plaza with Elizabeth Street via a through-site link.
