The Seabin Nature Intelligence Platform makes marine pollution visible, measurable, and publicly accessible for the first time. Built on proprietary software and daily field data from Sydney Harbour, it turns complex science into visual intelligence anyone can use, from school kids to policymakers. Built for the emerging global nature market.

  • CHALLENGE
  • SOLUTION
  • IMPACT
  • MORE
  • a. Fill a global data gap on plastic pollution, particularly microplastic at frequency and accuracy nobody else delivers, and position it for an emerging nature market and incoming regulation like extended producer responsibility.b. Build something rigorous enough for white papers, legislation, and scientific scrutiny, yet intuitive enough that a kid can read it.c. Keep the data publicly accessible while turning it into revenue that funds the work.d. Showcase branded litter publicly so polluters can't hide or deny it, then pairing it with collaborative solutions and verified impact our partners can stand behind.

  • Built entirely in-house. Custom backend, our own labelling software classifying every piece of debris, no off-the-shelf tools, no outsourced dev. The annotated data doubles as training data for near-future machine-learning / AI.The front end feels more like a Bloomberg terminal than an environmental dashboard, dark interface, bright accents, live tickers, interactive charts, map-based navigation. Every chart prioritises clarity: complex science made intuitive, immediate, and impossible to ignore. We built activism in too. One click and users send a pre-written email to their local MP or elected official turning data into political pressure. Especially around voting time.

  • Not an app to feel better, but real-world, tangible impact displayed live, every day. Our six pillars are:a. Health — microplastics linked to cancer, heart attacks, and reproductive harm. The next planetary crisis.b. Commercial — verified data for sustainability reporting, free from greenwashing. Magnum Ice Cream's partnership sets the precedent for FMCGs.c. Environmental — real-world pollution removal building the evidence base for EPR and nature markets.d. Financial & Reputational — partners de-risk against incoming regulation. Inaction becomes the liability.e. Societal — democratising data locked behind paywalls and institutional silos.f. Political — holding polluters and councils accountable with publicly displayed, certified data.

  • Main key feature is no paywall to see the data, our clients or our dashboard. Other key features include:Bloomberg Meets the Ocean. Dark interface, bright cyan and green accents, live tickers, interactive charts, map-based navigation. Designed so the data looks so good you actually want to explore it. Interactive Maps. Every Seabin location pinned with live data. Zoom in, click a site, see what's been pulled out of the water that day. Partner Impact Showcases. Each partner's verified impact displayed publicly — transparent, traceable, impossible to greenwash. Premium access adds custom date ranges, downloads, and automated reporting. Built-In Activism. One click sends a pre-written email to a local MP demanding action on plastic pollution. Especially around voting time. Open Data Philosophy. In a field plagued by data hoarding, the NIP shares knowledge to fast-track solutions. Public access is the disruption. Purpose-Driven Commerce. Sustainability marketing that delivers a real return. Changing the world one purpose-driven purchase at a time. Nature Reporting & EPR Ready. Built as a tool for emerging nature reporting frameworks and Extended Producer Responsibility — putting partners ahead of regulation, not scrambling behind it. Designed for Everyone. A six-year-old navigates it the same way a policymaker does.
