Most portable solar panels are built for fair-weather use. This 10W, 40Wh+ panel is engineered for where power is genuinely critical — remote installations, defence operations, and field environments where weather, terrain, and time work against you. IP68-rated, modular, and rugged without compromise, it delivers continuous solar power wherever it’s needed.

  • The existing portable solar panel had become a liability in the field. Its oversized cell, heavy aluminium frame, sharp edges, and lack of waterproofing made it impractical to carry and unsafe to deploy in demanding conditions. Meanwhile, commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) alternatives offered convenience, but none achieved IP68 waterproofing while in use — a hard requirement for defence, agriculture, and remote monitoring applications. The brief demanded a product that reconciled genuine field-grade protection with reduced size and weight, while introducing mounting versatility for radically different deployment scenarios — from star pickets on a fence line to vehicle-mounted antenna configurations and covert trail cameras.

  • The key insight was that protection and portability are not competing values — they require integration from the first design decision. A high-performance polymer outer housing, rated for global environmental extremes, marine conditions, and prolonged UV exposure, replaced the previous aluminium frame entirely. Purposeful surface angles prevent dust and debris accumulation on the solar cell, maintaining efficiency over time. A modular accessory system accommodates interchangeable mounts and antenna peripherals, including an innovative flat-pack origami-fold clamp for star picket deployment. LEMO power connectors maintain IP68 integrity whether connected or capped — eliminating the most common failure point in waterproof portable power.

  • Launching into defence, agriculture, 4WD, and remote infrastructure markets, this panel addresses a gap no current COTS product fills: a genuinely IP68-rated portable solar solution. For field operators, it replaces battery logistics with continuous free power. For remote sensor and security installations, it enables set-and-forget deployment in environments previously requiring hard-wired solutions or frequent battery replacement. The shift from aluminium to engineered polymer reduces unit weight and eliminates handling injury risk. The modular system reduces product variants, lowering inventory overhead for distributors. Blue anodised aluminium rear panels support customer co-branding, opening commercial and defence OEM partnership pathways.

  • IP68. Unlike splash-proof COTS alternatives, ours maintains waterproof integrity at every connection point including capped or connected LEMO connectors. Field-serviceable, chemistry-configurable battery system. Individual cells are replaceable in the field. Users can switch between 3×2Parallel and 2×3Parallel configurations to trade capacity for voltage, or vice-versa. The system supports Li+, LiFePO₄, and LTO chemistries (LTO enabling operation to −40°C) Origami-flat-pack clamp. The innovative mounting accessory folds flat for carry, then deploys via a fold sequence to clamp securely onto a star-picket. Purposeful form for field performance. Surface faces are angled to deflect debris away from the solar cell, preserving efficiency in dusty, sandy, and high-rainfall environments. Marine-grade polymer housing. The outer shell withstands temperature extremes, prolonged sun, salt air, and immersion — suited equally to coastal, tropical, polar and arid deployment. 4-wire comms and power interface carries both power and bidirectional communications, enabling connected devices to read panel charge state directly, and enabling the panel to relay device data via LED code pattern. Configurable branding and accessories. The blue anodised aluminium rear panel accepts customer branding; the modular accessory interface accommodates different antenna types and peripherals. Onboard power indicator with battery level check button enables field status confirmation at a glance.
