This is also from Tadao Mori about formulating a solution to a significant design challenge: “to create the low bonnet, our suspension engineers had to rework the components many times before we achieved the effect we wanted. This took months of hard work, but the engineers were so excited about the LC's design, they were prepared to do what was needed to make it happen”.

The LC made a big impression immediately after its public debut at the 2016 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. It won best Production Car and Best Designed Interior in The EyesOn Design Awards, the officially-sanctioned design awards of the show.

The LC is available with either a powerful 5.0-litre petrol V8 (LC 500) or hybrid (LC 500h). The latter features a next generation hybrid powertrain known as the Multi Stage Hybrid System, which redefines the hybrid driving experience.
