July Trunk Collection

The challenge was to modernise and redesign the trunk suitcases to be more functional and ergonomic, whilst adhering to airline standards of baggage allowance in terms of suitcase dimensions, weight, and luggage capacity. An added layer to the challenge was to also consider the premium materials and parts used that would make the Trunk Collection a strong contender against existing luxe luggage brands without any compromises on quality, affordability, and aesthetics.

In usual July fashion, we reviewed multiple iterations of the trunk-style suitcase and made note of everything that was wrong with the design and key components that other brands compromised on. From there we came up with a better approach. Introducing the July Trunk Collection. - Made from our durable aerospace-grade German polycarbonate shell in a stylish glazed or matte finish. - The carry-on features a 50/50 opening, whereas the check-in has an 80/20 split opening. - Zipperless access, with rivetless anodised aluminum frame. - Integrated one-click TSA latch locks. - Signature SilentMove™ 360 spinner double-wheels. - A spacious combined capacity of 141 litres.

With no compromises on security from the rivetless anodized aluminium frame. Our ethos around sustainability is to implement a repair first, replace second process. Every trunk comes with a cotton dust bag and cleaning sponge. Providing the user with the means to look after their case, reduces their lifetime luggage consumption and prolongs the longevity of the luggage. Offering the Trunk Collection at an affordable price point allows more consumers to have an opportunity to own beautiful, long-lasting luggage.
