  • The wheeled hard-shell suitcase category has iterated within a single architectural assumption since the late 1980s: a front-and-back shell that opens like a clamshell. Every premium and direct-to-consumer brand inherits the same constraint, and every traveller pays the same price, needing twice the suitcase's footprint to access its contents. In a tight hotel room, that means packing on the bed; in a train cabin, blocking the aisle. The brief for the Capsule Carry On Pro was to break that assumption without breaking what works: structural integrity, IATA compliance, repairability, and the refined aesthetic that reads instantly as a July case.

  • The solution was a duo-body design: a patent-pending architecture joining two vacuum-formed polycarbonate shells along a central horizontal frame, replacing the conventional front-and-back clamshell of legacy luggage manufacturing. Two years and eight prototype rounds brought it to production. The horizontal join is at once the structural innovation, July's signature mark, and the enabler of top-down access, concealed hardware, and an opening that spans edge to edge. With no vertical zip running down its side, the Capsule Carry-On Pro reads on sight as a front-opening case, not a clamshell wearing a retrofitted front door, but a silhouette the category hasn't seen.

  • The Capsule Carry On Pro launched April 2026 and sold out globally within weeks. Travellers gained a carry-on built for the rooms, cabins, and aisles where a clamshell has nowhere to go, with SilentMove™ Pro lockable wheels, a TSA lock with integrated global tracking across Apple and Google networks, and magnetic quick-access to packed essentials on the move. Selected for the Forbes Vetted Products list within days of launch. Built around July's brand-wide commitment to repairability: lifetime warranty, spare parts shipped direct, and returned cases refurbished as warranty stock. A closed-loop system displacing the disposable-luggage cycle through repair, not replacement.

  • Three modes of access from a single case. Upright, the lid opens to reveal organisation pockets and a full-depth laptop sleeve with anti-slip retention, sized for a 16″ MacBook Pro or 18″ gaming laptop. The internal QuickGrab™ magnetic door gives one-handed reach into packed essentials. Laid flat, the case opens wide for top-down packing into a deep main compartment.CaseSafe™ is the world's first TSA-approved lock with dual-network tracking integrated inside the lock body, operating across Apple Find My and Google Find Hub networks. The tracker module is upgradeable and repairable. Patent pending in Australia, the United States, and the European Union.SilentMove™ Pro lockable wheels are custom-tooled 360° double spinners on a single-plate base with internalised housings. A slider in the telescopic handle housing engages independent rear-wheel brakes, eliminating the rolling that makes conventional cases ungovernable on train carriages, sloped streets, and boarding ramps.Wheel housings and handle hardware are concealed within pockets formed into the shell rather than expressed on the surface, removing the visual noise that betrays conventional construction.Makrolon ET-3113 polycarbonate shell. Multi-stop telescopic handle. Japanese YKK zips. Y-Strap compression. Five colourways. Wheels, handle, and compression strap user-replaceable without specialist tools.
