  • Mobilizing the ever nomadic creative professionals, Zbook Studio needed to be technically competent while being lighter and more powerful at the same time. It had to have the highest levels of performance, with a design for thermal management and power efficiency under aggressive space constraints And, it had to be made of recycled materials and reclaimed plastics that would otherwise have ended up in the ocean.

  • The design starts with the spirit of craftsmanship in the use of aerospace grade aluminum and magnesium. Fashioned through precision manufacturing and sustainably minded, the chassis is highly recyclable. At 17.4 millimeters thin and weighing under 4 pounds or 1,814 gram, the chassis is water cooled to scale graphic performance found in systems typically twice its size. Vibrant, color calibrated display options and tuned speakers complete the ultimate creative professional notebook. The weight has been reduced 22%, the screen has bezels that are between 55% and 72% smaller, and the machine is 14% thinner than the predecessor product.

  • We use recycled plastics in Z products, reducing waste going into oceans and landfills. Sustainability also extends into packaging design optimization for waste recycling, reduction and shipping. HP designed the Zbook machine to use less energy without sacrificing performance. Z products are ENERGY STAR® certified with highly efficient power supplies and idle management. Zbook Studio core chassis materials utilizes post-industrial recycling with lightweight aluminum and magnesium while designed to still pass MIL-STD 810G testing.

  • The ZBook is quieter and cooler using proprietary predictive Fan Algorithm intelligently. The system manages fan behavior based on the kind of work and applications used and is constantly self-monitoring across multiple points on the computer. A laptop without this feature will trigger thermal fans without the contextual datapoints. This is significant as thermal noise is significantly reduced while improving battery life with no degradation to performance.
