  • HP Design was asked to make a Chromebook that would be rugged enough to last in the education setting. Students are abusive on computers. Typical problems are screen and exterior parts breaking from a drop, keys being removed, or accidental liquid spills that ruin a computer.

  • The HP ProBook x360 11 G5 Education Edition was designed to withstand the punishment from students. HP ProBook x360 11 G5 Education Edition screen is made of Corning® Gorilla® Glass to prevent screen breakage. To resist drops from 122cm, the computer has rubber bumpers, an anchored keyboard that resists spills to 12 oz (330 ml), a reinforced power port and metal reinforced corners in a design that undergoes MIL-STD 810G and education testing. The keys were redesigned to prevent removal.

  • HP made the HP ProBook x360 11 G5 Education Edition durable to last longer in service. Schools rarely have the budget to replace or repair computers, and can't afford downtime due to machine-breakage. HP is on a mission to achieve 30% recycled content in its products by 2025. As part of that commitment, 30% of the mechanical components are made of recycled material. After all that, HP is doing its part to reduce the spread of disease among students. With HP Easy Clean 2.0, all the touchable surfaces including the keyboard can be wiped down with common household cleaning wipes.

  • To make it easy to deploy, the HP ProBook x360 11 G5 ships with built-in HP-exclusive software that makes it easy to manage and protect on campus and off, even with limited IT resources. And students and teachers can keep themselves safe from remote prying eyes with the HP Privacy Camera. The HP ProBook x360 lets students learn the way they want—by typing, touching, writing, capturing, drawing, and reading. The machine folds from notebook, to easel, to tent or tablet modes, and it's got an easy-to-grip chassis that also hides fingerprints and smudges.
