HP DreamColor Z27xs is a 27-inch virtually frameless monitor with deep blacks and built-in calibration support. The panel is a high performance IPS model with the ability to display more than one billion colors.
Designed from the ground up for creative professionals and their technical requirements and aesthetic needs. Color is critical to our users and their work, but historically color-accurate monitors have been out of reach for young professionals. Our challenge was to bring color accuracy to the budget of the creative still and motion graphics user in a package aesthetically pleasing. This customer values technology that looks like art, in fields including design agencies, in-house creative departments, and freelancers. And, they expect it to just work, regardless of what computer they're using.
HP DreamColor Z27xs solves the problems of designers, photographers, illustrators, and art directors. Using an advanced high-performance IPS display, we gave it color calibration, so that the colors photographers and illustrators capture are the ones art directors see. And, we mounted it in an enclosure with thin bezels. The ports on the back are down facing, with 2 USB ports side facing, so that most connectivity can be cable managed along the back of the stand, out of view.
By giving professionals a PANTONE-validated color calibration, 4K resolution, and an ergonomic stand, we've made a display that fits our user's needs. The base and stand are a single, thin column that avoids dominating the user's view. The back of the display is a clean, raised prism, with ports exiting down from the bottom face.
By doing this, we're enabling more people to have color-accurate work at an attainable price point. Additionally, a majority of the plastics used are post-consumer recycled material.
The display has USB-C PD 100W ports. The benefit is that our users can power the monitor from the wall, connect one USB-C cable between the display and the laptop, and the monitor will charge the laptop. The stand can be removed so the display may be used with a VESA mount.
