HP Chromebook x2

ChromeOS is fast starting, easy to maintain, and runs everything from web apps to Android apps. Historically, the always-ready nature of it has been held back by underpowered laptops that don't let it perform its best. There's unexplored opportunity in finding the best form factor for a portable Chrome device. Fast-starting, always-ready, instant access to apps, and the Google ecosystem are the hallmarks of ChromeOS. The portable computer should be ready for drawing, touch, pen input, and it should able to move between work and entertainment.

The core of Chromebook X2 is a tablet, with pen and touch screen input. Draw, use apps, or fold out the kickstand and present or watch movies. When using the Chromebook as a laptop, the keyboard magnetically attaches at the bottom edge of the screen, giving the keys an ergonomic incline. The keyboard is covered in a soft-to-the-touch night teal blue, with color-matching keycaps. The kickstand covers the back of the tablet and is covered in the material. The result is an ultra-portable tablet, laptop, for pen, voice, and entertainment.

The Chromebook X2 is ideal for students and remote workers. The ability to change input from touch, pen, to keys or voice based on which is most natural makes the device centered around the user. The design changes computing from "where you have a desk or table" to "wherever's convenient to you", whether it's the keyboard and kickstand, or a brief interaction with touch and pen. Computing changes from an experience that demands your whole attention to one that's casual and fits into the rest of your life.
