  • Professional users today often need to manage tasks across multiple devices and operating systems. Switching between devices and inputs can be taxing, so we asked ourselves how could we make a keyboard that improves this experience? The lighting in our workspaces also changes throughout the day and can affect the visibility of keys, so we sought to enhance this experience with new sensor technology. Lastly, a keyboard this good should be the best possible experience for the user when it comes to ergonomic comfort, so we sought to make the lowest possible angle from the work surface, for improved ergonomics.

  • The HP 970 Programmable Wireless Keyboard was designed with three device inputs, to allow simple switching between devices for an uninterrupted workflow. Using special sensors, HP designed a keyboard that can respond to a user's hands and proactively illuminate the keys before they are pressed. The keyboard sits at just 3 degrees from the work surface, giving best in class wrist posture. This is technology that adapts to you, and not vice-versa.

  • With people using computers more frequently during the pandemic, HP peripherals like this HP 970 Programmable Wireless Keyboard help people keep working while also improving their experience. By not having multiple keyboards or touch inputs, we give them a more streamlined, integrated workflow that is less stressful. As HP continues to grow our peripherals business, this premium keyboard will increase our market share and continue to build our customer loyalty as HP is a well-respected brand in the computer industry.

  • Just a few years ago, a keyboard was just a keyboard - it provided physical input to allow the human hand to generate characters on a screen. But as HP aligns our keyboards and mice with software in the HP Accessory Center, we give users the ability to customize their experience with their devices. Whether allowing for new forms of communication via emoji, or creating custom app-based power shortcuts for visual artists or productivity hackers, we are designing experiences that are adaptable and customizable to meet the various needs of our customers. With USB-C charging and a custom cable clip for cord management, you never have to worry about not having power to keep the work going.
