GRAPHENE™ Convertible Car Seat

Growing families regularly require multiple car seat configurations and at times there may be a need for parents or caregivers to install upto 3 car seats across the rear seat of a car, often in smaller to midsize cars. Using a car seat from birth means it should offer protection especially in the event of a side impact, around the area of the torso, to protect the head, chest and vital organs of the baby. We believe safety in the event of an impact, should never be compromised. Child car seats are safer when designed for specific ages and stages.

Around the area of the chest & vital organs we designed blow moulded air cushions with a flat surface to ensure narrow overall width of the car seat without compromising internal seat space. The rear surface of the air cushion incorporates inwardly directed recess features. During side impact, the front surface collapses toward the recess features, these then work as a series of impact attenuators, to collectively deform under the load of the impact, resulting in the air cushion collapsing over a longer period of time. The amount of energy transferred to the occupant of the restraint is reduced.

By introducing Torso Side Impact Cushion Technology™ on a narrow and compact car seat, we are able to offer a solution that meets a real practical need. Being able to transport children or their friends, without compromising on safety, internal space or comfort, will contribute to the use of safer, rearward facing for longer child restraints in multiple configurations for as long as possible, whatever the size of car used. The Graphene is specifically designed to deliver optimal safety for 0-4 years in smaller cars and multiple configurations for growing families.
