  • The Humber Collection responds to a clear challenge: how to deliver scalable, high-performance energy storage that meets the real-world demands of Australian homes, installers, and energy networks. Designed for extreme temperatures, complex regulatory codes, and increasing consumer demand for resilience, the project tackled key issues, such as heat sensitivity, complex installs, and rebate uncertainty. Our brief was shaped by direct feedback from Australian installers and end users: create a modular, compliant, and outdoor-ready system that’s simple to install, works seamlessly with the grid and solar, and provides 10ms automatic backup power during outages, without requiring technical expertise from the user.

  • Through a design thinking framework, we created a fully integrated energy ecosystem combining stackable high-voltage batteries with three-phase hybrid inverters. Key design decisions included IP65-rated enclosures, fast plug-and-play installation, and a user-friendly app that visualises real-time energy flow. We overcame challenges in system scalability and regulatory compliance by working directly with Australian authorities and installers. Landmark decisions, such as fast 10ms switchover and VPP-ready architecture, were validated through real-world field tests, ensuring Humber delivers performance, usability, and reliability in one unified solution.

  • The Humber Collection empowers households to reduce grid reliance, protect against outages, and take advantage of renewable energy; all in a system designed for simplicity and long-term value. Commercially, it strengthens our position as a trusted UK brand entering the Australian market with products tailored to local needs. Environmentally, its modular design encourages right-sized storage, reducing waste and supporting sustainable installations. Societally, it enables broader access to energy resilience and battery rebate participation, particularly for homes in remote areas. Humber supports a cleaner, more stable energy future while strengthening trust between installers, users, and networks.

  • The Humber Collection features a three-phase hybrid inverter paired with modular high-voltage stackable batteries; scalable from 10.2kWh to 61.2kWh. Designed to withstand the unpredictable Australian weather, it features a fully IP65-rated enclosure for outdoor installation, integrated anti-islanding for grid safety, and automatic switchover in under 10 milliseconds during blackouts. The entire system is plug-and-play, dramatically reducing install time compared to traditional systems. A standout innovation is the intuitive GivEnergy App, which gives users full visibility and control over energy flows, including solar input, battery charge, and grid usage, anywhere with a Wi-Fi signal. Smart tariff optimisation, remote diagnostics, and VPP readiness are built in; future-proofing the system for dynamic energy markets. Every component is engineered in the UK with GDPR, cybersecurity, compliance, and reliability at the core. The design prioritises the user experience: - Installers enjoy clear labelling, pre-configured settings, and fast commissioning. - End-users enjoy energy independence without complexity. The system is also rebate-ready for Australia’s upcoming federal battery scheme, with no additional configuration required. From concept to deployment, the Humber Collection reflects applied design thinking: empathy-led problem-solving, refined engineering, and a commitment to real-world performance in the Australian energy landscape.
