FDA-approved in February 2024, the Genius™ Digital Diagnostics System transforms cancer care by enabling remote access to digitized patient samples, making expert insights globally accessible, especially in underserved areas. User-Centric Design: Developed in close collaboration with one hundred twenty medical professionals, Hologic and Invetech conducted three rounds of research to understand user needs and pain points. This research was translated into an intuitive interface that simplifies the review process, making it faster and more accurate for reviewers. The review screen was intentionally designed to mimic familiar interactions, such as zooming and scrolling in interactive maps. Frequent usability tests ensured intuitive interactions across the digital workflow. Accessibility and Remote Care: The Genius™ Review Station user interface empowers experts to remotely share and access digitized cancer cell images, making cancer care accessible to those who lack local expertise or are in underserved areas. Additionally, the system allows users to add comments while reviewing, enabling instantaneous, slide-specific communication.
