The design brief for the Genesis GV70 called for a striking, safe, spacious and practical medium luxury SUV built on a rear- and all-wheel drive platform with the capability for electrification. In line with the brand’s progressive ethos GV70 had to apply the Genesis ‘Athletic Elegance’ design language to stand out from more conservative alternatives in the class. GV70 had to advance the user experience with an array of active safety, driver assistance, convenience and comfort technology. And it had to deliver an EV variant representing the state of the art in terms of performance, range and charging speed.

The Genesis GV70 nails the brief with a progressive image headlined by a G-Matrix crest grille, quad headlights lamps and a tapered roofline, with a broad stance and outsized alloy wheels. Luxurious GV70 is filled with advanced technology headlined by an extensive Genesis Active Safety Control suite, a futuristic 12.3-inch 3D-view LCD instrument cluster, and 14.5-inch Genesis Infotainment System, and crowned by a leading-edge electrified variant. The zero-emission Electrified GV70 (EV) produces up to 360kW for 0-100km/h in 4.2sec, can travel for more than 450km on a charge, and rapid charges to 80 percent in as little as 18min.
