With kitchens today most likely to be integrated into living spaces, efficient ventilation is essential. Gaggenau, innovation leaders in technology and design made in Germany, has unveiled the new AL400 fully recessed table ventilation.

The AL 400 is an extendable table ventilation system which disappears completely into the worktop when not in use. Steam and odours are quietly & effectively extracted directly from where the cooking is taking place. This offers an ideal solution for kitchen islands and open-plan rooms. The table ventilation can either be flush-mounted or mounted conventionally.

  • Distinguishing the AL 400 as an air extraction solution is its unique ability to discreetly recess into the countertop. That means it's out of view when not in use and can be extended as required. The AL 400 not only purifies air, its clean lines and minimalist form, also embellishes the surroundings.

  • Telescopic in design, the AL 400 allows cooking to effortlessly take place on an island bench layout or in a large open-plan kitchen while vapours and odours are quietly being extracted effectively at the source. Once again revolutionising the kitchen, the design of AL 400 has been conceived for those situations where less is more.

  • To provide efficient extraction to match cooking requirements, there are three power settings along with one intensive setting that is able to reset automatically after a few minutes. These are adjustable via an 8 key-control to achieve extraction rates up to 1,100 m3/h.

  • Following the Gaggenau tradition of high quality materials and craftsman made - the stainless steel AL 400 is sculptural and timeless in design and therefore combines beautifully with all Gaggenau cooking appliances. The appliance allows for seamless integration of the ventilation system into an existing kitchen worktop and is offered in a choice of two widths: 120cm or 90cm. Both are 14cm deep. Because the solution can be installed fully flush or conventionally surface-mounted - the table ventilation can be integrated into all kitchen layouts.

    The highly sophisticated appliance has an integrated LED full-surface light that provides a soft adjustable glow when the table ventilation is switched on and off. The AL 400 can also be dimmed manually.

    As with all Gaggenau appliances, ease of cleaning has been carefully considered and thoughtfully resolved. A retractable front panel provides simple access to the grease filters.
