  • CHALLENGE
  • SOLUTION
  • IMPACT
  • MORE
  • The challenge was to create a sofa that delivered the comfort, design presence and longevity expected of premium furniture, while making ownership easier and more accessible. Quantum needed to arrive compactly for next-day delivery or Click & Collect, assemble quickly without tools, adapt to different room layouts, and remain easy to maintain over time. At the same time, it had to preserve a strong design identity, deliver genuine ergonomic support, and use materials and construction methods aligned with more sustainable long-term ownership synonyms with King.

  • Quantum answers this challenge with a modular sofa system that combines sculptural curved forms with compressed-box delivery and tool-free assembly. Lightweight modules reconfigure with discreet Velcro joiners, while zoned cushioning, King Rebound Foam, pocket springs and supportive high backs create responsive comfort. Removable covers, zip-on seat cushions and a raised FreeForm Base improve maintenance, airflow and longevity. Compact packaging, recyclable materials and renewable components support a more flexible and considered ownership model without compromising on comfort or visual appeal.

  • Freeform Quantum broadens access to premium sofa design by making delivery, setup, maintenance and long-term ownership simpler. Its modular structure allows layouts to evolve with changing homes and lifestyles, while removable covers and renewable components help extend product life. Compact boxed delivery reduces transport burden, and recyclable materials support a more sustainable product story. By combining sculptural aesthetics, responsive comfort and practical ease of use, Quantum creates meaningful impact across customer convenience, longevity and everyday liveability.

  • Freeform Quantum combines a sculptural, retro-inspired aesthetic with practical modular freedom and engineered comfort. Its low-profile form, curved arms and corner units create a composed architectural presence, while exposed backs allow the sofa to work effectively in open-plan settings. Modules connect with discreet Velcro joiners hidden beneath the seat cushions, making it easy to create configurations ranging from a standalone chair to larger lounge arrangements. Comfort is delivered through a layered system of rebound foam, extra-high pocket springs, zoned cushioning and supportive semi-high backs. Internally, foam, crumbed foam and ultradown fibre work together to provide responsive comfort, ergonomic shoulder and head support, and long-term resilience. Zip-on, single-piece seat and back cushions keep the sofa tailored and secure while remaining detachable for care and maintenance. Quantum is designed for easier ownership from the moment it arrives. It is delivered compressed in compact boxes for next-day delivery or Click & Collect, then assembled tool-free in minutes. The raised FreeForm Base promotes airflow, helps protect floors, improves cleaning access and creates a floating shadow line, while recyclable HDPE construction contributes to sustainability goals. Removable covers enable cleaning, renewal or aesthetic updates over time, supporting a product lifecycle built around longevity rather than replacement.
