Ezetrolley

The design for the Ezetrolley was developed out of our need to transport large and heavy sheet materials single-handedly and through narrow spaces. The only trollies available required two operators and had random-directional wheel castors. We wanted to design a mechanism that steered effectively that minimalized the risk of injury.

As simple as the Ezetrolley looks - this design has been the result of more than 30 prototypes. We wanted to develop a trolley that had an easy to load tray that parked on the ground, and featured a sophisticated steering solution that allowed for a 360 degree turning circle smaller than its own width. Besides the development of the steering mechanisms, the ergonomic and loading/unloading geometry required in depth research. Weight to strength ratio was also important, an example being the replacement of heavy (and expensive) thrust bearings with super-light Teflon washers.

We created the Ezetrolley because we needed it for our particular industry. Too many times someones back has been injured from lifting heavy sheet materials. Expensive and heavy items have been damaged as a result of clumsy carrying procedures. With Ezetrolley materials can be effortlessly transported and stacked neatly. Ezetrolley is made locally in Melbourne using premium materials (stainless-steel handle-bars, tiller and all fittings). It is built to last, and is a joy to use. It will endure many years of hard use making it a thoroughly sustainable choice.
