To solve the challenge of securely holding earbuds in place during high-intensity movement.The primary focus was perfecting a magnetic locking system that holds the earbud in place under high-speed impact and intense movement. This required extensive research into magnetic materials and shape optimisation and flex control to ensure they were effective yet comfortable. James engaged an industrial design firm to push the product to its full potential.

Magfit 360°, a two-part magnetic locking earphone, featuring "Shock Lock" system that clamps an in-ear magnet with rear ear hook, preventing movement during high-impact action. It offers 360° adjustable fit for comfort in diverse concha bowl shapes.The design uses a thin silicone arm with integrated flexible stiffness to ensure an immovable hold flat against the head, perfect for active sports. Built from durable medical-grade silicone and neodymium magnets, this unique, secure, and ergonomic wearable provides confidence in performance sports while enabling precise, personalised positioning. Easy to clean, and exceptionally comfortable—a truly unique offering in the sports and wearables space.

The impact of the design has been substantial. The team have vastly improved the distribution opportunities for the company. Before this design was complete, there was limited global reach. Since implementation, distribution agreements have been secured in New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Japan, and Eastern Europe, and in negotiations with others.Customer satisfaction with the technology has increased significantly; improved comfort and fit are acknowledged as a major step up from previous versions, outperforming competitors. Impressive 6 hours of playback backed by another 70 hours from the charging case. IPX67 rating for extreme conditions, they easily handle rain and sweat.
