  • One of the issues with current traditional pots made from netting in the market is that crabs get caught and tangled and when returned to the water because of size or the female crab spawning, it is common that they loose claws and are compromised. The Crab Crib on the other hand, was developed to overcome this problem and to deliver a more sustainable and more effective product to the market.

  • The Crab Crib has been designed to catch crabs effectively, making it less likely for the crab to get tangled in, which reduces injury or harm to small undersized crabs that need to be returned to the ocean. Changing from netting to a flexible PVC die-cut sheet allows small crabs to easily slip out of the crab pot without causing any injury. The Crab Crib device is focused on simplicity and effectiveness. The die-cut, thin, plastic sheet spreads up into a basket shape and collapses easily for effective storage and functionality.

  • The Crab Crib is garnering Australia-wide attention for projected improvements for the industry, providing care for the crab species and humanity with its environmentally friendly considerations & harm minimisation.

  • - Wide strip plastic reducing grip ability for crab. - Slippery surface also reducing grip ability for crab. - Light Weight. - Load Bearing. - No tearing or rusting. - Environmentally Friendly. - Longevity through material choice. - Less tangles and movement equals less damage to species. - An effective design through camouflage, using transparent materials. - New Patented innovation.
