NEOZ has manufactured cordless hospitality lighting since 1995. The Cordless Lamp Lock extends that legacy with a discreet, tool-free anti-theft system designed for lamps using the N1 Light Engine. Purpose-built for hospitality environments, it secures lamps to fixed surfaces while preserving portability, aesthetics, and seamless day-to-day service functionality.

  • As cordless lighting became standard across hotels, restaurants, and bars globally, operators encountered a recurring problem: lamps designed to move freely through a venue could also leave it. Outdoor venues with medium to high foot traffic are disproportionately affected, with loss and theft rates that erode the lighting investment. Some operators sourced cheaper or counterfeit alternatives; others returned to candles or fixed lighting. Accidental knocks compounded the issue. Existing solutions used visible tethers or fixed hardware that compromised aesthetics and usability. The brief required a solution securing lamps without disrupting service or the atmosphere cordless lighting creates.

  • The Cordless Lamp Lock integrates into the NEOZ ecosystem as a low-profile, tool-free anti-theft solution. At 8 cm in diameter and 1.5 cm in height, the locking plate sits beneath the lamp base and is entirely concealed when the lamp is in place, so the combined form reads as one object. A sliding lock mechanism secures the lamp with a single press and releases with a key inserted from the side. Prototyping revealed a weakness in the original sliding mechanism under sustained use. A shift to hybrid metal and plastic construction resolved this, producing the final single-action, tool-free locking interaction.

  • The Cordless Lamp Lock reduces lamp loss, accidental damage, and replacement frequency across hospitality environments, enabling operators to deploy cordless lighting confidently in outdoor and street-facing settings. At $132 AUD including GST for a set of six, the system offers a measurable return against a typical NEOZ lamp replacement cost of between $340 and $1,168 AUD. Manufactured using UL-certified 75% post-consumer recycled polycarbonate and supported by replaceable components and a five-year warranty, the design reflects NEOZ's commitment to durable, repairable, and commercially sustainable industrial design.

  • The Cordless Lamp Lock is a fully integrated anti-theft system designed for cordless hospitality lighting. Developed as a native extension of the NEOZ ecosystem rather than an aftermarket accessory, it preserves the portability, visual simplicity, and premium presentation of the lamp while resolving a genuine operational security concern. At 8 cm in diameter and 1.5 cm in height, the locking plate is entirely concealed beneath the lamp base when in use. A sliding lock mechanism in hybrid metal and plastic secures the lamp with a single press and releases with a key inserted from the side. Two keys are supplied per pack of six; additional keys are available separately. The low-profile locking plate integrates discreetly into hospitality tables and surfaces via 3M acrylic foam tape or screw fixing, allowing adaptation across a wide range of venues. The 3M tape is a one-time application using a product widely available for operator re-application. Compatible with all NEOZ lamps fitted with the N1 Light Engine from 2026 onwards. Earlier lamps can be retrofitted by the user using simple tools. The housing is manufactured from UL-certified 75% post-consumer recycled polycarbonate. All NEOZ parts are replaceable or recyclable, supported by a five-year warranty.
