Dutch mobility brand Bugaboo revolutionised the pram market with the launch of their first pram in 1999. Now, almost 20 years later, Bugaboo has unveiled the Bugaboo Fox, a next generation pram with world-first features that raises the bar in innovation, engineering and smart design for the modern parent.

  • When designing Fox, the team drew on 20 years of design experience and consumer feedback. They identified that the modern parent does not want to compromise on the lifestyle they had before children, with families now travelling, socialising and commuting more than any previous generation. The key consideration in all design elements was to develop features to make parents’ lives easier. Today's parent is looking for the ultimate practical and lightweight pram option, without compromising on safety, style, or durability. One of the design challenges was making an extremely strong and sturdy pram, while still keeping the weight under 10kg.

  • Bugaboo Fox was designed with numerous benefits for the parent in mind. The team rose to the weight challenge, creating a strong and durable pram, weighing in at just 9.9kg. It is the most stable ride on all surfaces thanks to the advanced all-wheel suspension; a higher weight capacity allows prolonged use throughout a child’s development; the extremely compact fold takes very little space in an apartment and boot of a car; it is one of the lightest prams in the segment, yet still raises the bar in durablity for continuous use for a second or third child and beyond.

  • Bugaboo Fox was recently introduced to the market as a flagship product and leads the way in the next generation of pram designs. The innovative design and differentiation to competitors has been extremely well received by consumers to date, having just hit the market at time of entry. To continue to lead and innovate in the category, Bugaboo has maintained relevance to the needs of consumer's evolving lifestyle and provided unexpected new benefits. Practicality and durability are aligned, with ground breaking features and key considerations for the modern customer, such as sustainable materials and environmental impact (see other key features.)

  • - Front and rear suspension for a smoother, bump-free ride and best drive performance yet, thanks to a completely new mechanism to the central joint system (for the parent pushing and steering feels effortless, making it easier to navigate corners, busy streets and tight spaces) - Throughout the process the development team were vigilant that new parts and materials didn’t add weight to the pram. They looked at each part in depth to see where robust materials were essential, and where lighter alternatives could be used. While some parts were made out of lightweight Polypropylene, not one specific material can be attributed to the pram's light weight, it was all about finding the right balance. - The design team split the structural parts of the stroller from the parts that experience more wear and tear, making it simpler for parents to service their Bugaboo Fox, by easily replacing parts. The integral parts (like the chassis) are made with durability and longevity in mind, while replaceable parts are made from recycled materials or materials that can be recycled after use. - Bugaboo made conscious choices about the materials used, including the fabrics, where the core colour range is made from 92 recycled PET bottles.
