  • Traditional trophies are mass-produced, high-emission, and non-recyclable, conflicting with growing ESG and social procurement priorities. Bloom Cycle identified a need for meaningful recognition products that reduce environmental impact while creating employment opportunities. The challenge was to design a scalable, circular product system using reclaimed materials, while overcoming limitations in durability, manufacturability, and end-of-life disassembly.

  • Bloom Cycle developed a circular trophy system using reclaimed timber, combining modular design with low-waste production. Through participation in the Regional University Industry Collaboration (RUIC) program, the project is advancing glue-free joinery and router-enabled geometries to improve circularity and disassembly. This is supported by ongoing prototyping, testing and refinement in collaboration with university researchers, enabling continuous product innovation and scalability.

  • Bloom Cycle delivers measurable environmental and social impact through low-carbon, locally made trophies that divert waste and support employment for people with disabilities. Each product saves approximately 2.3kg CO₂-e compared to imported alternatives . Through partnerships with universities and innovation programs, the project is scaling its impact by embedding circular design improvements and enabling broader adoption across organisations.
